The Learn to Read Kids Club is more than just about learning to read. It’s also about having FUN!! Try these creative activities, ideas and rewards to strengthen your child’s reading skills, reward reading accomplishments and create enjoyable reading experiences for your child.
Reading Rewards
It is important to reward children’s efforts when they are learning to read. Even simple, or what may seem small, accomplishments are critical when building the skills necessary to become lifelong, successful readers. Reward your reader with these fun activities.

Make A Door Hanger |
| Children will love to wear this "timely" reward. Have children color their watch or personalize it with markers, crayons, and stickers. Young readers will be proud to wear their watch and let everyone know they are learning to read. |
Your child will love making a door hanger that lets everyone know they are hard at work. Children could make a “Shh….I’m Reading” door hanger or create one about their favorite book, favorite quote, or their favorite character. Parents can get involved, too, by making a door hanger that celebrates their child’s reading accomplishments. See more examples. |

Print and cut out the tickets and have them on hand to reward children’s reading behaviors and accomplishments by giving raffle tickets for:
- reading a menu
- reading road signs
- reading to a sibling

Place the earned tickets in a special jar. Children can redeem their tickets for privileges, prizes, or treats.
